Old images resent each request

“In a long-running Codex Desktop task, image data retained after context compaction appears to cause very large, repeated upstream transfers.”

Fading. 2 reports and thumbs-up in the last 7 days and 4 the week before.

Old inline images resent in every request after compaction. Historical images stay in chat history after compaction, so follow-up requests, even text-only ones, upload tens of MB again and slow each agent loop.
