When a person, script or another agent needs to reach a Claude Code session that is already open, the message today waits until the person types, the turn ends, or arrives framed as a peer, so the session does not act on it when and as intended.
Waking an idle interactive session from a local tool or another agent, addressed by session id, without a paid model turn.
Getting a correction to a busy session at its next tool call instead of after its whole turn.
Relaying what the person typed in a dashboard or remote client so the receiving session treats it as their own input.
